An Artsy Entrepreneur

Everyone loves sandcastles - young or old - we all secretly like to try our hand.  Whether we use the castle shaped bucket, our hands or some more advanced tricks, it's always good fun.  Personally I always enjoyed filling the bucket with water and sand and making those drip castles with the resulting paste.

Well, We encountered this fellow on a recent trip abroad.  Click to enlarge!

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill - literally!  Just look at the work here.  He had a fountain for goodness sakes, never mind the forests, cars, courtyard and pool.  All he was missing were little sand people going about their palatial sandy business. I was mesmerized.  People were obviously expected to toss coins into the pool and were readily doing so.

Having just come from sailing we went back to our hotel to clean up before heading out for the evening.  As we walked around town that evening he was still there and the castles were lit up.  There were little tea lights in each nook and cranny and it was truly magical.

In the interest of fashion I had switched to a smaller handbag and did not have the camera, a decision I came to regret several times that evening.

What an entrepreneur - much better than the guys hawking glow sticks left right and center!  I'll gladly throw my money at him!
